Clowning around with face paints

Claudia asked "mummy can we do some face painting"
"Yes" I replied "what would you like to be, a Princess, a butterfly?"
"No, a clown" she told me.

And pictured are the results - I think she would have preferred to be a Princess - what do you think?

Oh poor baby! That did make us (me and the three kids) laugh out loud. What would you have done for 'princess'? (I can do a flower and a butterfly, but my attempts at a princess tend to make the unfortunate child look like a street walker. So I generally stick to writing PRINCESS across the forehead with thick black marker. I could do Claudia for you if you would like.)

Oh, oh, ha ha ha, painful laughter! When she gets married to her dream beau, will you PLEASE include this in the 'humorous' photos displayed at the evening reception?

And thank you, S, for your tip on facepainting. Will be adopting this for all future children's fancy dress birthday parties.

Sent a very bland new baby card today. The one I REALLY wanted to send had a cartoon of a label-victim woman bending over a pram, crooning, "Gucci, Gucci, coo!" The recipient might have taken it the wrong way; one should always play it safe with hormone-maddened new mothers.
